Ines has been the Initiative’s Managing Director since March 2009 but previously worked as its Communications and Media Manager. She has dedicated herself to expanding the horizons and opportunities for university students through SMDI. She has worked in various microfinance institutions and service providers. She is currently pursuing a BSc. in Economics and Government at the LSE. (ines.gramegna@smdi.org.uk)
Sayan is Initiative's Chief Financial Officer since March 2009 and is heavily involved with general expansion, strategy and launching new projects. He is currently in his 2nd year at the LSE studying towards a BSc. Econometrics and Mathematical Economics degree. Prior to his time at the Initiative, Sayan was Secretary of the LSE Alternative Investment Conference 2009 and is currently on the organizing team for the 2010 edition of the event. Matthew joined the Initiative at the start of 2010. As Secretary, he is responsible for overseeing all the general administrative tasks of the organisation and to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Przemek has been appointed the Initiative's Development Manager in January 2010 and is responsible for expanding the SMDI Partner network onto new universities worldwide. He is studying towards a BSc. in Economics. Being on the team organizing the LSE Alternative Investments Conference as well as working as a Secretary of the LSEsu Polish Business Society, he relaxes while rowing on the Thames. Myriam Bouchentouf is currently pursuing her Masters degree at LSE in Political Economy and Development. After completing her undergraduate degree at McGill University, she worked for 2 years in the banking sector, specifically Investment Management. Her interests are in the growth of microfinance in North Africa. As Events Coordinator, Myriam exposes the various topics in microfinance through events such as workshops, speaker series, and panel discussions. (myriam.bouchentouf@smdi.org.uk)
Ju-Vern is currently a second year Economics student at the London School of Economics. Prior to her work at SMDI, she was a youth advocate for sexual reproductive health rights for adolescents. She believes she has found her niche in SMDI by being able to combine her technical knowledge and her enthusiasm for empowering those from less fortunate backgrounds.(juvern.see@smdi.org.uk)

Michael is currently in pursuit of an LLB degree at the LSE and joined the Initiative as its Chief Compliance Officer in 2009. As CCO, Michael's duty is to ensure that the management works in accordance with both the organization's codes of practice and the law of the land.
